Been looking into this system, but never really found a decent review from someone who has used it.

Re: Traktor Scratch Pro – Review

Ben -

There is built in streaming, through Traktor Scratch Pro itself. You can set custom proxy, full server settings (ogg/vorbis is default) and set your own URL/descriptions/meta. It seems to be a pretty complete streaming system, though I wish that it would allow mp3.

In fairness, it might. I just haven't done much looking into it, since we use a custom Shoutcast-based broadcasting solution for Bassdrive.

Re: Traktor Scratch Pro – Review

I've been considering this peice of equipment since having a chance to play on a friends setup in a live setting. The Audio 8 has a good feel to it, plus it's a hell of a external soundcard (which I need for my new laptop). There was a brief comment on the NI website about web broadcasting with the Audio 8, but I was unable to find any further info. Could you use the Audio 8 to both play tracks AND broadcast via shoutcast, either thru Traktor Scratch or by re-assigning the inputs on the jumpbox? If so, it solves my dilemma of what to by next. Any help would be appreciated.
